Anti drug

INFO KOPED FROM THE RULES AND REGULATION DL FORM

All participants of the competition are to adhere to this set of rules and regulations.

Eligibility
- This competition is open to all students of primary schools, secondary schools and post-secondary institutions, as well as youths below 25 years of age (as of 31 December 2008).
- Only one entry per participant will be accepted.
- There is no limit to the number of entries by each school/institution.

Competition Categories
The competition consists of 3 categories:-
- Category 1: Students from primary schools
- Category 2: Students from secondary schools
- Category 3: Students from post-secondary institutions & youths below 25 years of age (as of 31 December 2008)

Requirements
- All artworks must incorporate the theme ‘Do our part. Don’t let inhalants and drugs destroy us or our friends.’.
- The size of artwork must not exceed A3.
- Participants may use any 2-dimensional art forms such as drawing blocks or papers, Styrofoam boards, plastic sheets, etc and present them in different creative formats such as greeting cards, posters, bookmarks, illustration, collage, printmaking, rubber stamping, scrap booking, paper tole, etc. There is no restriction on the colour mediums.
- We recommend limiting text (if any) to a simple anti-drug slogan as the focus of the entry is the artwork.
- The use of design software and/or computer graphics is not permitted for all categories.
- The organisers may reject any entry which has already been awarded a prize in another competition or exhibition or if it has not fulfilled any of the above mentioned requirements.

Judging Criteria
All entries will be judged based on:-
- Attractiveness in design and layout – 40%
- Clarity of anti-drug message/ theme in the artwork – 30%
- Creativity and originality of content – 30%


Submission of Entries
- All entries must be accompanied by a duly completed entry form, along with a short description (no more than 100 words) of the artwork.
- The entry form is to be pasted on the back of the artwork and submitted to:

- Participants can submit their entries by post or by hand to the above address (see map attached).
- Bulk submissions MUST be accompanied with the submission form (see attached) and the vendor has to be informed in advance on the number of entries, day & time of submission; to facilitate storage arrangements for the entries. The operating hours are:
 Monday to Friday - 9.30am to 1.00pm & 2.00pm to 4.30pm
 Saturday - 9.30am to 12.30pm

Terms and Conditions
- Entries will be judged by a panel of judges appointed by CNB.
- Judges’ decisions are final and no correspondences will be entertained.
- Results of the competition will be posted on CNB’s website by 21 November 2008.
- All prize winners will be notified by post by 21 November 2008.
- CNB reserves the right to change, amend or withdraw any of the guidelines stipulated without prior notice.
- CNB reserves the right to publicise and/or broadcast the winners’ names, likeness, images or characters at any time it deems fit.

Collection of Artwork
- Participants can collect the artworks starting from 24 November 2008 (2 January 2009 for winning entries).
- CNB will retain the Gold-award entries from Categories 1, 2 and 3.
- All artworks not collected by 2 February 2009 will be disposed of. CNB will not entertain requests for artwork collection thereafter.
